Traditional cut resistant gloves made from metal mesh and heavy gauge wires tend to be bulky and lacking in flexibility. Our new generation cut resistant gloves incorporate advancements in yarn engineering, knitting technology and dipping. These innovations enable us to produce lightweight, form fitting, flexible gloves that provide excellent cut protection and grip. All of our cut resistant products are certified to CE Standard EN 388: Mechanical Hazards. Blade cut resistance is determined using a Sodemat Cut Test Machine. We can also provide our customers with cut resistance data as per U.S. voluntary standard ANSI/ISEA 105-200. This standard specifies test method ASTM F 1790-97 (CPPT-Cut Protection Performance Test). CPPT involves measuring the distance traveled by a blade under a known load (weight). The distance from the initial contact point of the blade to the cut through point is measured using three different loads. The resulting load vs. distance curve is used to determine the cut resistance of a material. |
